The new Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS) came into effect on Monday 12th October 2009 and has a impact on all organisations working with Children & Young People. It aims to help organisations increase protection of children and vulnerable adults, by improving the current provisions for screening potential volunteers and employees.
This one day course will look at effective communication
and record keeping, It will focus on different aspects of good communication
and record keeping.
The object of this course is to explain why good
communication and record keeping is vital to the effective running of any
organisation. The course will introduce the legislation that underpins the
requirement for all workers in a education / social care setting to keep good
records. The course requires no prior knowledge of legislation

VAT Increase: From 1st January 2010, the UK Government is re-instating the 17.5% VAT rate. We are making the necessary changes on our systems to ensure our customers pay the correct VAT as the rate returns to 17.5%.
